College Scholarships
Wentworth scholarships may be offered to students who excel in at least two of the three criteria below:
- Academic excellence
- Cultural excellence (music, art etc)
- All-round ability (incl. sport)
Junior Scholarships are available for students entering Years 7 and 8. Towards the end of Year 8 a student may apply for a senior scholarship.
Senior Scholarships cover students from Years 9 through to 13. Once awarded, the senior scholarship applies throughout the student’s schooling at Wentworth (subject to an annual review of performance).
Scholarship examinations are sat during late July/early August each year.
(Scholarship exams for the 2011 academic year have been held and scholarship applications are now closed.)

GOLF SCHOLARSHIPS
Wentworth College / Gulf Harbour Country Club
Outstanding young golfers with a handicap of 10 or under are invited to apply for this prestigious golfing scholarship.
Successful applicants will enrol for a full academic programme at Wentworth College. They will also receive a one year membership to the Gulf Harbour Country Club where they will receive tuition from the Club's professional, Mike Duncumb (NZPGA), together with playing rights on this outstanding course and use of the Club's driving range.
All aspects of a scholarship winner's golfing development will be covered. This includes sports psychology and sports science as well the close mentoring of each golfer to ensure a successful balance between golf and school work.
