The discipline of philosophy guides us and gives us our special character. It is the basis on which we provide an all-round, complete education catering for your child’s emotional, intellectual and physical development.

Our curriculum concentrates on traditional academic subjects, focusing on knowledge, understanding, and the ability to think critically. The learning paradigm is based on a student-centred classroom where the aim is to produce self-motivated learners, skilled in the principles of critical and creative thinking and problem-solving, and able to reason with knowledge and clarity of mind. Students will develop resilience of character to adapt successfully to a rapidly changing technological world.

Beyond the intellectual, our philosophy nurtures emotional intelligence and the virtues of courage, justice, wisdom and social responsibility. These develop in a context that emphasises traditional and family values, including service to the community. Our house system, where smaller groups of students of all ages interact in a ‘family’ relationship, draws out leadership potential, further developed among some students by attending a leadership course in Lucca, Italy, based on the discipline of philosophy fostering critical thought, creativity, compassion and innovation.

Sports, music, drama and the fine arts complete the framework that supports academic growth. A happy and engaged student is central to our educational ethos.
