Senior School
Wentworth Senior School
The Wentworth Senior School comprises Years 11, 12 and 13, with academic focus on Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
Students are encouraged to study subjects that best suit their interest, ability and future aspirations. Individual guidance is given for subject selection throughout the Senior School. High academic expectations, small class sizes and the close monitoring of performance promote excellent academic success. University and career information is available for all students.
Because the majority of Wentworth graduates will continue their education at tertiary level, skills of time management, organisation and studying are taught and self-motivation is encouraged throughout the students' senior years.
Continued participation and involvement by senior students in cultural and sporting activities is strongly encouraged and recommended.
There are many leadership opportunities available to senior students at Wentworth and within the local community.
Senior pupils take an active role in House and school prefecture, school council, sport and cultural groups providing a sense of service to their school. Peer mentoring, coaching and managing sports teams, tutoring, and House responsibilities help build confidence and independence in our senior students.
