"Expectations are based on principles of mutual respect, enjoyment of learning, and engagement.  Classrooms are purposeful and students clearly enjoy the opportunities they have to explore ideas and to establish a sound knowledge base... in a climate in which students can take risks intellecturally and be supported by teachers and fellow students."

Marine Studies and Golf

With the Hauraki Gulf and Gulf Harbour Marina on its doorstep, Wentworth College will continue to develop its marine 'flavour' with the continued growth of activities such as boating and sailing, and subjects such as boatbuilding, marine ecology, navigation and marine technology. The Hauraki Gulf provides an outstanding educational environment!
Wentworth College is surrounded by the prestigious Gulf Harbour Golf Course. A partnership exists between the college and Gulf Harbour Country Golf Club. Students at the college have the opportunity to extend their golfing ability or to join the Wentworth College Gulf Harbour Country Club Golf Academy and focus on golf as a possible vocation.

"Small class sizes, together with the respectful relationships evident between teachers and students, foster a climate of exploration and personal challenge."                                                                             Education Review Office 2009
