I am from Germany and I have been in New Zealand for 2 months; I will be here for another term. In New Zealand you have everything here - wonderful beaches, a lot of water, sea, lakes, rivers, rainforests, mountains with snow and big cities. I chose New Zealand because I wanted to see and understand a new culture and to learn new things. My parents chose Wentworth College for me because they wanted a good education for me, small classes and many sports activities. I am enjoying my time at Wentworth because they have nice teachers and students. The school system is very different to Germany and this makes it very interesting. It is a very good experience that I will never forget. Ich bin aus Deutschland ,bin jetzt seit 2 Monaten hier in Neuseeland und bin noch fuer einen weiteren Term hier. Hier in Neuseeland gibt es einfach alles, wundervolle Straende ,ueberall ist Wasser , es gibt sogar auch Regenwaelder hier ,aber auch Berge mit Schnee und ein paar grosse Staedte wie Auckland.Ich hab mir Neuseeland ausgesucht weil ich eine neue Kultur kennen lernen wollte . Weil meine Eltern eine gute Schule fuer mich wollten, mit kleinen Klassen und vielen Sportmoeglichkeiten ,haben sie mich hier auf das Wentworth College geschickt.Mir gefaellt es hier auch richtig gut, weil ich super mit den Lehrern klar komme und ich total nette Menschen kennen gelernt habe. Das Schuksystem ist zwar wirklich anders als das deutsche Schuksystem , aberdas macht es auch wieder interessanter weil man mal etwas neues sieht. So im ganzen ist es wirklich eine wunderbare Erfahrung , die ich nie mehr vergessen werde und in der ich sehr viel gelernt habe! Miriam Baer, Year 11 |

I came from China and have been in New Zealand studying for 1 year and 6 months. I like Wentworth College. The teachers are pleasant and they talk with us and help us. I like the small classes. I enjoy the music class and I am in Beginner Band. I came to Wentworth because my parents wanted me to learn English and have a good education so that I can go to university and get a good job. 我已经在纽西兰学习1年6个月了。我喜欢在韦特和夫中学学习。学校里面的老师都很友善，经常和我们聊天和帮助我们。我也喜欢小班教学。我对音乐课很有兴趣，而且我还参加了乐队（初级班）。我去韦特和夫中学学习是因为我父母希望我学习英文和接受一个良好的教育，在将来我可以去大学学习和找一份好的工作。 Yang Qian (Susannah) Year 8 |

I have been studying in New Zealand for one year. New Zealand is a very good place. The country still has a rich natural environment, so I can observe various animals. At first when I came to Wentworth College to study I was nervous because I could not speak English and I thought I would not make friends. All the students at Wentworth are very kind and help me in class if I cannot understand. I played soccer in Japan and I now play here. The study is hard but my teachers and my friends help me. I have studied at Wentworth College for 2 years. New Zealand is a nice country and Wentworth College is a very good place for me to study English. Living in New Zealand is good because I can enjoy every activities that I want. I have done lots of activities that I couldn’t do in Korea. In Wentworth, I started ‘Duke of Edinburgh’ this year. I didn’t like it at the first time but it is getting fun and exciting as I go tramping. This is also one of the activities that I can’t do in Korea.
