Cambridge International Qualifications

Wentworth College became a Cambridge International Examination Centre in 2006. CIE is a non-profit organisation that provides international qualifications for students between the ages of 13 and 20. CIE has worked in partnership with ministries of education and qualification authorities for nearly 150 years. At present 170 countries offer this qualification system.
Currently senior students at Wentworth sit IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) Mathematics and AS Mathematics. Junior students are in preparation for sitting the Cambridge Examinations in all subjects.
CIE was chosen as the preferred examination system for Wentworth because of its:
- In-depth curriculum
- Clear learning outcomes and examination prescription
- Internationally recognised status
- Focus on teaching rather than assessments
- Ability to cater for all students across the academic range
Wentworth students learn to sit examinations from Year 7 where small class sizes and specialist teaching has produced excellent results.
